This is the very best book of Andrew Grey which I've read thus far. Why? Because the story is so original and the characters all fill a very meaningful purpose in the story line plus all of them contribute in a big way to the main story line - without ever distracting from that main story line. All the characters are well developed and most of them very likable (except the mother of Alejandro).I loved the continuation of the Las Vegas Escort book 1 ("The Price") with just occasional functional reference to the lead characters from that book. The background of the characters in this book are just amazingly functional to the story development. I do not want to give away the actual details of the story; that's for every reader to self-discover.
The side interest/occupation of Ember turns out to be more influential in the story development than his actual career, which indeed forms the backdrop setting for this as well as for Hunter in "The Price"'s story basis. I loved the important influences that the auxiliary characters had on the development of the story.
Alejandro's background and nationality is delightful. I want to visit Domilion too - try to find that on the world map (ha-ha). His heritage and upbringing is so powerfully described. His friend from teenage stage Christo helped form his personality so much - especially his positive influence towards the 2nd half of the story.
The culmination to the end is wondrously beautiful. And not to mention Alejandro's defiance of his dictatorial mother until he triumphed over her.
I can't give enough praise for this book. If you are new to Andrew Grey, there can't be a better introduction to his amazing writing style & story creation ability than these 2 books. Do read the equally enjoyable "The Price" first, and then this one - "The Gift" (because of the reference to the first book's lead characters at the stage of their lives where we've said good-bye to them).
I repeat my title for this review: 11 / 10 - Super-Outstanding Book!!

I really enjoyed the first book. This one not as much. The characters were not as interesting.
Hated to see the series end. One of the best stories I have read and would like a sequel.
Another great Andrew book. It was really good to get to see the guys again and see what all they were up to. You'll need a few tissues with this book. I had quite a few cries. But all in all a very good story.
This is a wonderful continuation of the Vegas escort story. Ember finds his love in Alejandro and they over come their secrets and pasts to hold on to their love. It was nice to see Hunter, Grant and Jimmy again. If you loved The Price you must buy The Gift.
While I didn't like this one as much as the first, it was still darn good. Ember had a big heart and a kind spirit. Alejandro had so much support and understanding from his friend. Twas good he was able to talk with his father before his death.
Can't wait to see what happens next!
This was a beautiful love story of two different men who lived in two different worlds which you never thought the two could be forever together. Andrew Grey has never disappointed in any of his novels and this is definitely one of them. The story line was strong that had characters which were so different, but their love for one another changed everything. Ember was a Las Vegas high priced escort and an owner of a gym. He had the best of everything, but someone to love. Then Alejandro Martine, the Prince of Domilion, came to Las Vegas to "sow his wild oats" before his parents made him get married and take over the thrown. He met Ember, never telling him who he really was, and the two fell in love. Along with Alejandro not telling Ember who he really was, but Ember never told Alejandro that he was an Escort. The attraction for the two was so strong that something had to give...... Alejandro comes back to America after a couple of months to bring Ember home with him and claim him as his own. "Raymond" was Ember's real name and Ember had fallen so hard that he knew he had to go and find out if this relationship would really work. If you love MM Love, Sex, and Relationships, you will love this one. Don't miss it. One of my favorites.
Amazing, deep characters, super hot sexiness, and a book that's hard to put down, that is what we have here. Long haired, American Indian, gorgeous Ember, is an escort, owns a yoga studio, and is putting a hometown young man, Jimmy through schooling, and guiding him. This beautiful man longs for someone to love, a love like his friends have found. Handsome Alejandro is visiting, and "sewing wild oats" - so to speak, although he hasn't - while in America. His friend Christo is along for the year long trip, and when Alejandro meets Ember, Christo is suspicious. Alejandro is hiding his true identity. But Ember is also hiding his escort job. These two men hit it off right away, and get together as much as possible, with totally hot sex and sharing their childhoods, etc. The deeper, loving feelings are already blooming, and how will they ever part when the time is up?
Andrew Grey gives us family and friends interaction, while we hope, care, and cheer for this pair. I loved their relationship and the way they respected each other once the secrets were exposed. This tale has a bit of a fairytale feel to it, but rooted in their reality. It is heartwarming, and we watch our sexy guys strive to resolve the dynamics.
